Requirements to serve as an election judge include:

Be a U.S. citizen by the next election
Able to speak, read, and write English fluently
Be a registered voter and resident in the County of Madison, Illinois.
Successfully complete an election judge training course conducted by the Clerk's office

Before you begin the application, it's important to note the specific expectations of being an Election Judge.

You would serve from at least 5am to 8pm on Election Day. See our website for compensation.
Must be willing to work in a different precinct other than the one you live in.
Must help set up the polling place before the polls open.
May be required to pick up supplies.
May be required to drive, or escort as a passenger, supplies back to the Election Supply Building after the polls close.
