Election Judge Application
Thank you for your interest in serving as an Election Judge for Madison County! This is a crucial position dedicated to ensuring the citizens of Madison County have fair, free, and accessible elections.
Requirements to serve as an election judge include:
- Be a U.S. citizen by the next election
- Able to speak, read, and write English fluently
- Be a registered voter and resident in the County of Madison, Illinois.
- Successfully complete an election judge training course conducted by the Clerk's office
Before you begin the application, it's important to note the specific expectations of being an Election Judge.
- You would serve from at least 5am to 8pm on Election Day. See our website for compensation.
- Must be willing to work in a different precinct other than the one you live in.
- Must help set up the polling place before the polls open.
- May be required to pick up supplies.
- May be required to drive, or escort as a passenger, supplies back to the Election Supply Building after the polls close.
